A 19-year-old woman has turned over to authorities around P12 million worth of suspected dried marijuana leaves and disposable vapes she found at her boyfriend’s boarding house in Barangay 5-A, Davao City.

The illegal items, consisting of 17 bricks of dried marijuana leaves and more than 60 disposable vapes containing marijuana juice, weighed around 23 kilos and worth more than P12 million.

Police said the woman claimed she discovered these items inside the boarding house of her boyfriend and she surrendered them out of fear that she would be implicated.

The woman’s boyfriend was arrested on September 9, 2025 after he was allegedly caught in possession of alleged dried marijuana leaves at a checkpoint in Barangay Panacan.

Her boyfriend is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).

Meanwhile, authorities seized suspected dried marijuana leaves with seeds placed inside a box that was abandoned along a riverbank in Barangay Linangkod, Kidapawan City.

Police said barangay officials were patroling the area when they found the box. They opened it and found 10 bricks of suspected dried marijuana leaves inside worth around P200,000.

Authorities believe that it was a package as it was sealed with a bubble wrap.

Investigation into the incident continues to identify who left the package.
