Police arrested three men in Baliwag, Bulacan for their alleged involvement in a carnapping and illegal detention incident that started with the rental of a transport vehicle and ended with the victim’s escape by jumping from the window of an inn.
The incident happened on September 6, 2025 when the suspects, along with a woman, rented an MPV driven by “Jason” (not his real name), a TNVS driver, in Marilao, Bulacan.
According to police, the suspects took the vehicle forcibly, blindfolded Jason, and brought him to an inn in San Rafael, Bulacan. The driver managed to escape by leaping from the second-floor window.
“Nag-start po sa San Fernando, Pampanga… Nagpaikot-ikot po siya, nakarating po siya sa Baliwag, hanggang sa makarating nga po siya sa Marilao… paikot-ikot hanggang makarating po siya sa area ng San Rafael, Bulacan,” PMAJ. Jaynalyn Udal, spokesperson of Bulacan PPO, said.
The following day, September 7, the woman who was with the group surrendered voluntarily to the Baliwag Police. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of the three male suspects.
Police learned later that the stolen vehicle had been sold already. The Highway Patrol Group is conducting operations to recover it.
“As of now po, nagka-conduct po yung Bulacan PNP ng follow-up operation tungkol po dun sa vehicle po na ginamit ng suspek,” Udal said.
The suspects are facing multiple charges but have yet to issue a statement.
Authorities are also working to get the victim’s account of the incident.
