Two people were reported dead, including a three-year-old boy, while four others remain missing, as of this writing, after a landslide hit Sitio Tagbulakan, Barangay Mahayahay, San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
According to the provincial government, the incident occurred evening on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Authorities said the continuous rainfall for several days may have softened the soil, which caused the landslide.
The area affected is a mountainous community known to be prone to landslides during heavy rains.
Search and retrieval operations for the remaining missing residents continue, as of this writing.
