A total of 176 volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes was recorded on Mount Kanlaon in Negros Island, based on a 24-hour observation from September 15, 2025 to September 16, 2025.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), sulfur dioxide emissions reached 1,071 tons per day, as of September 15, 2025.

Plume generated by the moderate emissions reached 600 meters tall that drifted northwest.

The volcano edifice is inflated meaning there is apparent ground deformation, PHIVOLCS added.

Alert Level 2, or increased magmatic  unrest, prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
