Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has been recognized formally as the Best Airport (5–15 Million Passengers Per Annum) in Asia-Pacific at the ACI World ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Awards in Guangzhou, China.
The awarad was held during the Airport Experience Summit on September 8 to 11, 2025.
MCIAA General Manager & Chief Executive Officer Julius Neri and Ricia Montejo, Head of Reputation and Customer Experience at Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (ACAC), accepted proudly the award on behalf of the airport community.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and collaboration shared with all airport stakeholders,” said MCIA in a post on its official social media page.
Prior to the ceremony, Montejo represented ACAC in a global workshop on enhancing passenger experience.
“Her participation ensured that Cebu’s unique perspective and insights contributed to the international conversation on airport service quality,” the post added.
It was further emphasized that Neri also participated as a panelist on the topic “Enhancing Experience through CX Initiatives,” where he shared MCIA’s strategies and best practices in elevating the passenger journey.
“Carrying the Cebuano hospitality, we share this win with every traveler who passes through MCIA. Together, let’s keep showing the world the best of Cebu,” the MCIA post further stated.
