More than 2,000 families were affected while four people died in the massive flooding that hit Valencia City, Bukidnon on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
The local government said four of the eight reported missing persons have been found, as of 3:40 p.m. on Thursday. Their remains have been retrieved.
Search for the four other missing persons continue.
Authorities said the 2,075 families affected are from eight barangays that were flooded, 349 of whom are from Barangay Poblacion and are taking shelter temporarily at the city gymnasium.
Personnel of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Health Office (CHO), and other concerned offices continue to provide services to the residents affected, including relief packs, medicines, and other necessities.
Clearing operations also continue to remove the debris left by the flooding in Puroks 16, 21, 6, 13, as well as along the diversion road in Poblacion.
The rapid damage assessment and needs analysis (RDANA) is being finalized to determine the extent of damage to infrastructure and agriculture.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) has recommended placing the city under a state of calamity so that the quick response fund can be utilized to address the needs of the residents affected.
