Illegal drugs worth over P136 million were burned in Iloilo City. 

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Western Visayas led the destruction of illegal drugs on September 18, 2025 at the Iloilo City Landfill in Barangay Calajunan, Mandurriao District.

Among the items burned were 19.27 kilos of shabu worth P131.05 million, 45 kilos of marijuana worth P5.4 million, expired medicines, and other contraband confiscated during various operations in the region.

The destruction of the illegal items is in consonance with the mandate of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, implemented by virtue of a court order. 

The destruction of the items was witnessed by judges, policemen, local officials, members of the media, and representatives of non-government organizations.
