Super Typhoon #NandoPH brought heavy rains in Benguet on Monday, September 22, 2025, sending water gushing down Bridal Veil Falls along Kennon Road and causing a landslide in Sitio Begis, Tuba.

The incident forced authorities to close Marcos Highway while road clearing continued.

Motorists were advised to take alternate routes as strong winds and continuous rain also swept Baguio City, where parks and tourist sites were closed for safety.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) urged residents to stay indoors unless travel was urgent.

Emergency units in the city were placed on red alert while the command center closely monitored landslide- and flood-prone areas.

In Zambales, local officials placed the province under round-the-clock monitoring and ordered pre-emptive evacuations in some areas.

However, some residents in coastal and riverside villages, such as Sitio Corocan in Barangay Lipay Dingin, Iba, refused to leave despite the risks.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) continues to monitor all 13 towns, including 11 coastal municipalities.
