More than P88 million worth of dangerous drugs were destroyed in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday, September 22, 2025.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) led the destruction of the dangerous drugs through thermal decomposition.

The items destroyed included 12,874 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, 4,399 grams of marijuana, and expired medicines surrendered by pharmacies and hospitals in the region.

PDEA-BARMM said this was the largest volume of illegal drugs destroyed in the region to date.

“Today’s destruction of more than P88 million worth of illegal drugs sends a strong message to all drug syndicates and personalities—we will never allow these substances to destroy the future of our youth and communities in BARMM. PDEA-BARMM, together with our government and civil society partners, remains fully committed to a drug-free Bangsamoro,” PDEA-BARMM Director, Gil Cesario Castro, said.
