Tropical Storm Wind Signal (TSWS) Number 1 is hoisted over the Provinces of Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar in Eastern Visayas as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
According to state weather bureau PAGASA, Tropical Storm "Opong" (international name: Bualoi) further intensifies while moving west southwestward over the Philippine Sea.
As of 10 a.m., the center of TS Opong was estimated based on all available data at 815 km east of Northeastern Mindanao (9.7°N, 132.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 996 hPa, moving west southwestward at 15 km/h.
