A 30-year-old female engineer was shot dead in Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
The gunman is yet to be identified, as of this writing.
Police said the victim was driving her L-300 van on her way home to Barangay San Marcelino evening on Friday, September 26, 2025, when she was attacked by the suspect riding a motorcycle.
Recovered from the crime scene were several bullet casings and slugs from a .45-caliber firearm.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back, which caused her death.
Authorities are now investigating the motive behind the killing.
“As to the motive, may mga tinitignan na tayo. Lahat ng anggulo titignan natin pero sa ngayon hindi pa natin i-disclose ang information,” PMaj. Norman Pentang, chief of Dingras Police Station, said.
The victim’s family declined to issue a statement.
