Burnham Lake in Baguio City will be closed temporarily to the public starting Wednesday, October 1, 2025, to allow for rehabilitation works.
The City Environment and Parks Management Office, together with the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), announced that the project will focus on improving the lake’s water quality and upgrading the surrounding facilities.
The rehabilitation also includes sidewalk repairs and enhancements to nearby attractions such as the Children’s Park and skating rink.
Phase 1 of the project, funded by TIEZA, is expected to be completed by April 2026.
