The bodies are from various areas in the Fourth District of Cebu Province.
Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro managed the transfer of patients to other hospitals.
According to the Joint Operation Center in Bogo City led by Baricuatro, the death toll reached 53 persons as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Of the given figure, 11 are from San Remigio, 10 from Medellin, one from Sogod, one from Tabuelan, and 30 from Bogo City.
Injuries hit 175, based on data from the operation center.
Baricuato said that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. is expected to visit Bogo City on October 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has confirmed of collapse of portions of the Bogo City Hall.
As of this writing, retrieval operations in various barangays are ongoing due to landslide, or rockslide incidents. Cracks on roads are apparent but have remained passable.
Bogo City suffers from lack of water and power supplies hours after the quake struck, as well as in adjacent areas.
Aside from Bogo City, adjacent towns of San Remigio and Medellin are affected heavily by the earthquake.
In Sogod town, a senior citizen is believed among the rubbles after her house was hit by a rockslide.
Her body has been searched, as of this writing.
