Davao City Acting Mayor Sebastian Duterte has filed a disbarment case against Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, Justice Undersecretary Nicky Ty, and Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon.

The case was filed by Duterte’s lawyer, Atty. Israelito Torreon, before the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

The complaint stemmed from what they called as “abduction and transfer” of former President Rodrigo Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Torreon declined to elaborate on the details of the case but said the case was filed on the grounds of alleged violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability.

“Related to the kidnapping as well as expulsion of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte towards The Hague, Netherlands. So, in line with fact that the family has decided a disbarment complaint against these lawyers who happen to be high officials of the land. Acting Mayor Sebastian Duterte decided to file it himself on behalf of the family,” Torreon said.

For his part, Remulla said he had already anticipated the filing of the case.
