A pedicab driver’s honesty stood out after he returned a bag that was left in his vehicle.
But it turned out that the bag had been stolen in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.
Roberto dela Torre, who has supported his family through driving a pedicab since 2006, said he turned the bag over immediately to authorities after finding it on the seat of his pedicab on October 3, 2025.
Police confirmed later that the bag had been snatched earlier along De Guzman Street, Poblacion, Mangaldan.
At ‘yun nga, sumakay sa pedicab,” Mangaldan POSO Chief Gerry Ydia said.
While the cellphone and money were already missing, the victim was grateful that a ring was still inside.
The Mangaldan LGU lauded the driver’s integrity, saying his honesty serves as an example to the community.
