Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao (NBI-11) arrested a man for allegedly raping his four-year-old daughter in Davao City.
NBI-11 said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant for qualified rape with no bail recommended.
No less than the suspect’s wife reported the alleged lewd acts to authorities. The suspect allegedly committed these acts while the mother was away for work.
The wife said she began to suspect her husband after noticing redness in her child’s private part and wondering why her husband would lock himself in the room with their daughter.
When she asked the child, the victim reportedly disclosed what her father had done to her, prompting the mother to file a complaint in September 2024.
The case was filed in January 2025, and the arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday, October 7.
The wife said she wants her husband to stay in jail.
“Gusto nako nga di na na siya kagawas… demonyo na siya nga pagka-amahan… gitraydor ko niya… grabe ang kasakit…di nako ma-explain,” the victim’s mother said.
“The child was examined by our doctor and it was found it was rape there was a laceration of the child’s genitals. Wala palagi si mama, ginagawang parausan ang anak. The wife suspects he was under the influence of shabu,” NBI-11 agent, Vincent Essex Minguez, added.
The suspect denied the allegations.
“Kung tinuod pa na, niamin nako… wala gyud ko nanghilabot,” the suspect said.
