A spa owner in Davao City was arrested in an entrapment operation for allegedly offering ‘extra services’ to clients.

The operation was carried out by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao (NBI-11), in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

During the operation, six women were rescued, including a 16-year-old girl.

NBI-11 said the parents of a 12-year-old and another 16-year-old girls who were working at the spa filed a complaint, prompting authorities to launch the operation.

Customers allegedly paid around P3,500 for the ‘extra service.’

“Nire-recruit sila as masseur and then doon na nila nalalaman na may extra service palang ino-offer… na-interview ko rin yong isang victim and when asked kung okay lang sila na ganyan ang sagot naman sa akin ay ganon naman daw ang kalakaran doon kaya okay na lang daw,” NBI-11 Special Investigator, Vernon Fermalino, said.

The suspect claimed that the ‘extra service’ happens outside and depends on the massage therapist.

“Among extra service po naa na siya sa gawas depende sa masahista… dili man gyud malikayan ang offer… ang uban man gud sir, liberated na kaayo, not forcing gyud na siya. Mas worse ang uban kay sa sulod gyud nagapa-ana sa amoa bawal gyud sa gawas gyud na,” the suspect said.

The spa had been operating for four years.

“This is an anti-human trafficking and at the same time dahil may minor tayong na rescue violation ito ng RA 7610,” Fermalino added.

The individuals rescued are now under the custody of DSWD.
