Barely 10 days after a strong earthquake shook Cebu on September 30, 2025, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Oriental around 9:43 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the epicenter was located 07.09°N, 127.09°E - 062 km S 77° E of Manay town.

The quake had a depth of 10 kilometers.

Many parts of Mindanao and the Visayas felt the intensity of the quake.

PHIVOLCS also issued a tsunami warning following the earthquake.
