A fire that reached the second alarm gutted a warehouse in Barangay Calamagui 1st, City of Ilagan, Isabela afternoon on Monday, October 13, 2025, causing damage pegged at P15 million.

According to investigators, the warehouse contained various materials such as chairs, plastic boxes, foam, and LPG tanks. Several vehicles parked outside were also damaged in the blaze, which lasted for nearly two hours before firefighters declared it under control.

No one was injured in the incident.

Fire Marshal FCInsp. Aime Escubio-Cariño of the City of Ilagan Fire Station said investigators are still determining the exact cause of the fire.

“Base po sa initial investigation po ng ating mga investigators, wala po kasing source of electricity sa loob… Pero may naka-park po na vehicles, may loader at truck doon. So, isang tinitingnan naming cause is ‘yung kino-kondisyon nilang loader doon, pero we are yet to conclude so we are still on the progress of investigation regarding that matter,” she said.

Authorities continue to probe the incident to identify the cause and assess the full extent of the losses.
