Around 176,906 families across Davao Oriental have been affected by the magnitude 7.4 and 6.8 twin earthquakes, based on data released by the provincial government as of 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Mati City recorded the highest number of affected families with 28,048, followed by Baganga town with 21,686 and Governor Generoso with 20,123.

The report also showed that 752 houses were destroyed and 10,629 others were damaged.

In terms of houses destroyed and damage, Manay, the epicenter of the earthquakes, suffered the most with 129 destroyed and 3,113 damaged houses.

Caraga also reported 214 totally and 2,855 partially damaged houses.

Other areas that reported significant impacts include Cateel with 1,401 damaged houses, Tarragona with 1,368, and Baganga with 805.

The provincial government has placed the province under a state of calamity on Monday, October 13.

Authorities continue to assess the extent of the damage as aftershocks persist in the region.

Relief operations are also ongoing to support affected residents.
