Fifteen passengers were injured after two provincial buses collided on the Gerona–Guimba Road in Pura, Tarlac.

According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), one of the buses was exiting its terminal when it was hit by another incoming bus.

Rescuers said the crash occurred past 4 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, injuring around 15 passengers who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, motorists were reminded to observe speed limits and avoid driving when tired or sleepy to prevent similar incidents.

“Si [Bus A] po palabas, si [Bus B] naman po nagkaabot lang po sila talaga sa exit ng [Bus A] po. Hindi naman daw nakatulog ‘yung driver po, ma’am, parang nalingat lang daw po ‘yung driver ng [Bus B] po,” Lorren Sebastian of the Pura DRRM Office said.

Both bus drivers are yet to release a statement as of press time.
