A rider who crossed a swollen river in Barangay Tawan-Tawan, Davao City lost his motorcycle to the raging waters.
In a report by GMA’s 24 Oras, the rider was bent on crossing the river but he eventually lost control of his motorcycle due to the strong current.
He held on to his motorcycle as far as he could but had to let go shortly before he reached the other side of the river.
The raging waters were quick to sweep the motorcycle away.
The next day, the vehicle was found stuck among rocks several meters away.
Meanwhile, residents in Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat also struggled to cross a river as heavy rains caused the water to rise.
Residents had to lift their motorcycles to cross safely.
State weather bureau PAGASA said the bad weather experienced in some parts of Mindanao was due to the localized thunderstorm.
