At least seven ash emission events were recorded on Mount Kanlaon in Negros Island within a 24-hour observation period.

According to an advisory of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the ash emission events from 12 a.m. on October 20, 2025 to October 21, 2025 spanned from a minute to 123 minutes long.

The voluminous ash emission events generated plumes that reached 450 meters tall that drifted west and west-northwest.

At least 20 volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes were recorded. Sulfur dioxide flux reached 3,194 tons as of October 20, 2025.

The volcano edifice remains inflated.

Alert Level 2 prevails over Mount Kanlaon, which means that the volcano is in a state of increased unrest.
