A warrant of arrest for r@pe with homicide was served against two suspects in the death of a Slovak national in Boracay Island in March 2025.

Rajel Lacorte, 29 years old of Sitio Diniwid, Barangay Balabag and Ronald Saron, 38 years old, of Barangay Yapak in Boracay Island, Malay town, Province of Aklan were arrested on October 20, 2025 based on the warrant.

The 23-year-old Slovak national identified as Michaela Mickova was found dead in an abandoned chapel in Boracay Island on March 12, 2025.

Lacorte was arrested in Barangay Nalook, Kalibo town, while Saron was nabbed in Barangay Yapak in Boracay.

According to Aklan Police Provincial Office, sustained surveillance of the suspects has made it easier to facilitate the arrest.

To recall, the Slovak national went missing on March 10, 2025. Her body was found two days later.

The two suspects have been turned over to the court, as of this writing.  

“Meron pong inilabas na warrant of arrest ang Regional Trial Court Branch 9 ng Kalibo, Aklan. Noong October 20, successfully na na-arrest ang dalawang suspects,” said Police Captain Aubrey Ayon, spokesperson of Aklan Police Provincial Office.
