Two ash emission events at the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island were recorded on Thursday, October 23, 2025. 

The ash emission events were recorded from 5:30 a.m. to 7:29 a.m. and 7:39 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. that lasted from four minutes to 69 minutes long. 

These events generated grayish plumes that rose up to 600 meters tall above the crater before drifting west-southwest as recorded by the IP Camera at Kanlaon Volcano Observatory-Canlaon City, Negros Oriental. 

At least 10 volcanic earthquakes were recorded within a 24-hour observation period. Sulfur dioxide flux released on October 22, 2025 measured 2,058 tons. 

Alert Level 2, or increased unrest, prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
