A man was arrested for alleged illegal LPG refilling operations in Kapalong, Davao del Norte.

The man identified as alias “Ronald” was arrested after operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) served a search warrant against him on October 21, 2025.

Police said the subject of the warrant was not around during the operation, but the man arrested was allegedly caught in the act of illegally refilling LPG cylinders, which is a violation of the LPG Industry Regulation Act (RA 11592).

PRO-11 said the man may also be held liable under the Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 9514) for refilling flammable gases in an unapproved residential area.

Authorities confiscated several LGP cylinders, refilling equipment, seals, and other paraphernalia worth more than P1.5 million.

PRO-11 Commander, Brigadier General Joseph Arguelles, lauded the operating team for successfully enforcing the law.

“This accomplishment demonstrates our strong resolve to uphold lawful business practices and protect the community from hazardous and unlawful operations. May this serve as a warning to those who continue to engage in such illegal activities to immediately stop,” Arguelles said.
