Livestock growers in Manjuyod town, Province of Negros Oriental are bothered by a recent carnage of animals in their community.

The animals were reportedly ravaged of their flesh, based on the account of Jocelyn Cadavid, a day care worker and one of the farmers who lost animals she and her mother raised as a source of income.

She said she found their goats dead on October 24, 2025. The goats lost their legs and that the flesh were ravaged.

She said that while residents surmised the goats were attacked by huge dogs, Cadavid pointed out none of her neighbors have raised dogs. She cited that they are also situated far from forests, or woodlands, where wild dogs could have thrived.

Cadavid pointed out that a similar incident occurred last month, or in September 2025. Their cows lost entrails, or internal organs.

The incident would happen usually at nighttime, which fueled the impression that sinister creatures could have perpetrated the carnage, not just ferocious animals.

"Di pud mi kasulti kon unsa gyud gakaon ato kay wa mi kakita pero basi sa amoang na-experience diri, naa man gud kadtong amoang kauban, kay ako daycare worker man ko sa barangay naay kauban nako nga BHW [barangay health worker] nga mga apprentice sa barangay, iyang kanding nasakpan nga upat ka dagkong iro gakaon kay gi-adlawan man,” Cadavid said further.
