The local government of Mangaldan has designated parking areas near cemeteries to ensure smooth traffic flow during the observance of Undas.

According to the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), traffic enforcers will monitor motorists and strictly issue warnings to those who park in prohibited areas, especially near cemeteries where heavy congestion is expected.

POSO Chief Gerry Ydia said their team has already strengthened manpower and coordination for the holiday.

“Pinaghandaaan na namin ‘yun. Nagdagdag kami ‘yung pwersa at ito nga sa likod ko ay kasama ‘yung mga Task Force TODA natin nang sa ganun ay ready’ng ready na,” Ydia said.

Thousands of people are expected to visit public and private cemeteries across Mangaldan. To prevent bottlenecks, enforcers will focus on roads leading to cemeteries and other key areas in the town.

Motorists are advised to park at designated areas such as the front and back of the municipal plaza or beside the nearby church on November 1 and 2, 2025.

The Mangaldan National High School also allowed its grounds to be used as a temporary parking area since it is close to the cemeteries.

“This is coordinated with the Barangay Council of Guilig, and this is something we do every year,” Dr. Eduardo Castillo, Principal IV of Mangaldan National High School, said.

He said the school can accommodate around 200 vehicles and reminded visitors to be orderly and responsible.

“I-park po natin ng maayos ang ating mga sasakyan para sa ganun ay mas maraming sasakyan ang ma-accommodate sa araw na yon. At syempre, CLAYGO tayo — clean as you come and clean as you go,” Castillo added.
