The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Davao (LTFRB-11) has issued special permits to 19 bus units departing from the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal to address the demand during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

LTFRB-11 Director, Nonito Llanos III, led the inspection of bus units to ensure roadworthiness and verify that all necessary documents and permits were valid before departure.

During the inspection, one bus trip was delayed after authorities discovered that its insurance documents had already expired.

“Tanang parte sa unit gikan sa ligid, wiper, suga, brakes and not only that, ato pud inspeksyonon ang mga papeles sa mga bus units to make sure nga legal ang tanan nilang gibitbit nga mga document gikan sa LTFRB and ilang insurance gikan sa LTO to make sure nga ang ilang byahe legal,” Llanos said.

With long queues of passengers observed on the eve of Undas 2025, LTFRB-11 issued special permits for routes with limited active buses, particularly those heading to Kidapawan, Arakan, and Davao Occidental.

“Kadaghanan ani paingon og west, southwest. Paingon og Kidapawan, Arakan and also Davao Occidental. We have a few going north,” Llanos added.

Llanos added that a help desk has been set up inside the terminal to immediately issue additional special permits if the need arises due to passenger congestion.

LTFRB-11 urged the public to board only legitimate and authorized buses and vans operating at official terminals.
