The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Borongan City in Eastern Samar is set to distribute relief assistance to 21 high-risk barangays expected to be affected heavily by #TinoPH.
In a public statement, the Borongan City LGU said that these barangays will “receive immediate food assistance, consisting of three kilograms of rice and a kilogram of milkfish (bangus).”
“For the remaining barangays, similar support will be provided post-storm, subject to a thorough damage assessment and evaluation of affected population needs, once it is deemed safe to conduct such assessments and relief distribution,” the statement added.
The 21 barangays out of 61 have been identified based on vulnerability and potential impact to the population, the statement said further.
