A magnitude 5.6 earthquake rocked the Province of Negros Occidental at 3:06 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the epicenter was located 16 kilometers southeast of the Municipality of Candoni with a depth of 61 kilometers.

Intensity IV was felt in Candoni, Dumaguete City, Sibulan; Intensity III in Jordan, Guimaras; Bago City; La Carlota City; Sipalay City; Intensity II in parts of Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, Cebu, Zamboanga del Norte, and Zamboanga del Sur; Intensity I in areas of Antique, Capiz, Bacolod City, Bohol, and Cebu.

According to PHIVOLCS, aftershocks are possible.

In a statement, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Candoni cancelled classes and work in government offices immediately on November 3, 2025, as it also braces for the possible effects of #TinoPH.

Bryll Larry Sañor, operation center deputy manager of Task Force Kanlaon and spokesperson of Negros Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), said that buildings were inspected for structural integrity, and that no major damage was reported in the municipality.

The PDRRMO has ordered the assessment of structures in adjacent LGUs.
