Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island recorded at least six steaming events in a 24-hour observation period, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The moderate steaming of Kanlaon Volcano, coupled with the spewing of ashes, lasted 110 minutes.
At least seven volcanic earthquakes were also recorded.
Alert Level 2, or increased unrest, prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
No ashfall was reported, PHIVOLCS added.
“Ang steaming ng ating bulkan, may ash emission. Moderate steaming pero may kasamang abo,” said Ptolemy Mañego, science research assistant at the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory.
