A 34-year-old police officer was shot dead by three unidentified suspects in Barangay Santa Arcadia, Cabanatuan City.

The victim, a member of the Cabanatuan City Police Station and a native of Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija, was reportedly on his way home when the gunmen attacked around 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The suspects fled after the shooting immediately.

Police are now conducting a thorough investigation and pursuing all possible angles, including the possibility that the attack was connected to the victim’s work as a police officer.

“Sinisigurado po ng ating provincial director na mapapanagot ‘yung may sala at mabibigyan ng hustisya kasi ang biktima,” PCpt. Frank Sindac, spokesperson of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, said.

Authorities have yet to identify the suspects, while the victim’s family has not issued a statement as of press time.
