A state of calamity has been declared in Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur after heavy rains caused massive flooding in the town over the past few days.

The Sangguniang Bayan passed a resolution on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, declaring the town under a state of calamity after the flooding affected around 3,581 families.

Based on the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) conducted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), 804 of the 3,581 families affected evacuated from eight barangays.

The declaration aims to speed up the release of calamity funds and ensure the immediate delivery of assistance, rehabilitation, and recovery efforts to affected residents.
