A woman was burned to death while another remains in critical condition, as of this writing, after a fire razed a house that served as a church facility in Barangay 33-D, Davao City on Friday, November 7, 2025.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, police said the victims were sisters who were trapped inside the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Ministry when the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m.
Neighbors said they tried to rescue those trapped inside the house but were unable to do so as the fire spread rapidly.
Witnesses added that several choir members were reportedly practicing inside the house the night before the incident.
The Davao City Fire District is still investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire and the cost of damage.
