At least 16 persons were confirmed dead in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental during the onslaught of Typhoon Tino on November 4, 2025.

As of the latest report of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Canlaon City at 8 p.m. on November 6, 2025, the reported casualty reached 16.

The information was also confirmed by the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office.

Aside from the death toll, another 11 individuals are missing.

The 16 are from five barangays in the city.

Barangay Panubigan logged the most number of casualties at 12. Among the 12 is a three-year-old girl and a college student.

Aside from the 12, another six individuals are missing. Barangays Malaiba and Linuthangan logged two missing persons each, and one in Barangay Mabigo.

The LGU vowed to families that responders will not stop until the missing persons are found.

Mayor Jose Chubasco (Batchuk) Cardenas thanked the policemen, militarymen, and barangay officials who helped in the search of the missing persons, as well as donors who supported the call for help.

In the partial assessment of the LGU, Typhoon Tino affected 12 barangays. Barangay Panubigan is ground zero due to heavy flooding.

Following the incident, Canlaon City declared on November 6, 2025 a state of calamity for the immediate release of Quick Response Fund to assist affected constituents.
