At least 17 families were affected by a rockfall in Barangay Uling, City of Naga, Cebu.

Four residents of Purok Kaimito were reported injured. They were taken immediately to the hospital.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m. on November 10, 2025.

The rockslide flattened at least five houses. No casualty was reported. No person was reported missing.

According to City of Naga Mayor Valdemar Chiong, the rockfall could have been triggered by previous days of rain as two tropical cyclones barreled through the country one after another.

He cited that because of the incident it was found out that ground cracks are apparent in the area but were not reported to the Local Government Unit (LGU).

Chiong said that the LGU will request an assessment from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) on the incident and the visible cracks found in the area.

"Kanang murag nidahili gyud tungod nga kanang nanubra na gyud kabasa tingali, I don’t know, pero di man sad ta expert ana but wa man nay activity dihang area. [Reporter: Naa kuno nakita nga crack tungod atong after sa linog, several linog and aftershocks?].. Actually as per nila, giingon ni kapitan, nakakita na diay kuno na sila [residente] diha og liki gamay, pero wala lang sila motug-an kay hadlok sila papahawaon sa lugar,” Chiong said.

The 17 families, or over 50 individuals, affected directly by the rockfall have been evacuated to the Enan Chiong Activity Center.

Meanwhile, at least 136 families or 605 individuals, who live in the vicinity of the affected upland area, have left the site.

Chiong has ordered the barangay chairman of Uling to identify a relocation site for the displaced individuals.

"Akong gipa-identify ang barangay kapitan, kay naa man nay yuta diha sa Kapitolyo o sa Naga man na, asa ng pinaka-safe kay buhatan namu sila og balay. Kung naa gani threat gyud, ako sila giingnan through the barangay nga mobakwit lang kay aron atong maasikaso sad sila,” Chiong said.
