Davao City First District Rep. Paolo Duterte slammed columnist Ramon Tulfo after the latter published a Facebook post of individuals allegedly behind a destabilization plot against the government.

In his post, Tulfo, brother of Senator Raffy and Erwin Tulfo, named 16 people in what he referred to as an “insider list” that the government is supposedly investigating as being involved in the destabilization plot.

Among those in the list are Vice President Sara Duterte, Congressman Paolo Duterte, and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson.

However, Tulfo said in the post he would not disclose his sources.

Rep. Duterte dismissed the claims, calling them as a product of Tulfo’s imagination.

“This guy must be really proud of his imagination — it’s the only thing working harder than his sense of journalism,” Rep. Duterte said.

The Davao City lawmaker added that Tulfo is using rumors as a career.

“If this so-called “list” is his version of insider intelligence, then the only thing that needs confirmation is whether he still knows the difference between fact and fiction,” he said.

“This guy has made a career out of gossip packaged as courage. But this time, he’s gone full fantasy — name-dropping people, inventing plots, and pretending he’s part of some spy thriller,” he added.

Vice President Duterte had previously denied efforts to destabilize the government, despite anti-corruption protests.

GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is reaching out to Tulfo for a statement, as of this writing.
