Four people were killed after a wing van truck plowed through a van and two motorcycles in Surigao City.
Based on investigation, the two motorcycles were following the van going to Butuan City past 5 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025. The wing van truck, on the other hand, was traveling in the opposite direction.
Police said upon reaching the place of incident, the truck veered off suddenly into the opposite lane and crashed into the van and two motorcycles.
Because of the impact, the two riders and their respective companions died on the spot.
Investigators said the truck driver may have dozed off while driving. He was taken into police custody after the incident for investigation.
