A man who suffered severe burns when an illegal firecracker workshop in Barangay Tebeng, Dagupan City exploded has passed away.
He fought for his life in the hospital for nearly three days.
Relatives of the victim declined to give a statement.
The barangay council has already distributed food packs to residents affected by the blast, said Barangay Tebeng Council Administrator Marvin Magsano.
“Namahagi po tayo ng 50 plus na food packs sa mga families,” he said.
Magsano added that the family of the operator of the illegal firecracker shop has coordinated with the council and assured support for those affected.
“Maganda naman ang plano ng pamilya na magbabayad po sila sa lahat ng mga naapektuhan,” he said.
