A man armed with a gun robbed a store that sells beauty products in Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City.

CCTV footage showed the man wearing a sando and a headband and holding a firearm in his right hand enter the store.

According to the shop owner, the incident happened evening on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, while the store was being attended to by his brother-in-law.

“Close na gyud unta to siya pero naa man gud me gi-apas nga order. Kato nga hitabo nag-overtime sila ato hawan naman kaayo diri ang dalan kay ngitngit busa naka higayon gyud ang holdupper nga mianhi diri,” shop owner, Jethro Carl Reyes, said.

The owner’s brother-in-law reportedly suffered trauma from the incident.

The suspect carted away two cellphones as the store did not have cash on hand since transactions were made online at that time.

The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) has identified the suspect and is being pursued, as of this writing.

“Naa naman ta’y description ug profile ang suspetsado. Apan wala siya nadakpan sa hot pursuit mao na nga gitahasan na lang ang complainant nga mobisita sa opisina nga expected nato mo lodge siya sa iyang affidavit of complaint para ma regular file sa atong piskalya,” COCPO Spokesperson, Capt. Emelita Simon, said.

The shop owner is determined to file charges and urged authorities to solve the incident immediately to prevent similar incidents in the area.

“Basin naa pa’y lain mabiktima naa gihapon mi failure kay mingaw naman diri kani nga area,” Reyes added.
