A 17-year-old car wash attendant allegedly involved in the killing of an administrator of the City Health Office of Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental has turned himself in to authorities.
According to the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), the minor suspect surrendered on November 19, 2025, four days after the victim was found dead inside his van in Barangay Solana, Jasaan town on November 15, 2025.
The victim sustained multiple stab wounds in the chest and neck when found. PRO-10 said the suspect reportedly surrendered out of conscience and remorse.
Police said the suspect told them that the killing happened near the Gingoog City Puericulture Center in Barangay 16.
The suspect also revealed the location where he reportedly hid the victim’s belongings.
Investigators said the victim was seen last evening on Friday, November 14, buying an alcoholic drink in Gingoog City. The bottle of the alcoholic drink he bought was recovered inside his car. However, his important belongings such as cellphone, money, and bag were missing.
Authorities recovered several pieces of evidence, including a cellphone, a wallet, and other personal belongings of the victim.
The suspect may face robbery with homicide charges.

Through enhanced coordination, intelligence-sharing, and rapid mobilization of our clustered stations, we remain committed to ensuring that no crime goes unresolved,” PRO-10 Director, Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, said.
“We stand with the family of the victim and the people of Gingoog City. Our investigators will pursue all remaining legal steps to ensure accountability,” he added.
