Police arrested a security guard three days after he allegedly robbed the bank he was guarding in Iba, Zambales.

The incident happened around noon on November 17, 2025 when the security guard was on duty. At 12 p.m., he reportedly declared a hold-up at the bank he was assigned to protect.

CCTV footage showed the guard pointing a gun at a bank employee while ordering others to take him to the vault. He reportedly stole over ₱670,000 in cash and escaped using a tricycle he also took.

Authorities later found the abandoned tricycle at a gas station in Barangay Dirita and continued the search for the suspect.

In the early hours of November 20, 2025, police spotted him in Barangay Pagatpat, Sta. Cruz, after a report that he was showing a firearm inside an establishment. He was immediately arrested.

The suspect now faces multiple criminal charges.

“’Yung suspect po namataan sa isang bar sa Sta. Cruz, Zambales, nag-report po ‘yung waiter doon regarding nga po sa presence ng isang lalaki na may dalang baril,” PMAJ Jefferson Delos Reyes, chief of police in Iba, Zambales, said.

The suspect has not yet issued a statement.
