Over 300 families have been evacuated in Bacolod City, according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
Clearing operation is ongoing, as of this writing, on roads earlier inundated by floodwater.
Tropical Depression Verbena brought heavy rainfall and strong winds from dawn until morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025 in Bacolod City that inundated roads and residences in several barangays.
Rescue operations were carried out since dawn after floodwater rose in flood-prone barangays.
Several residents rescued were from Barangay Bata, Barangay Mansilingan, Barangay 39, and Barangay 40.
Preemptive evacuation was carried out in a few areas in the Province of Negros Occidental such as in the Municipality of Hinigaran where residents sought temporary shelter in a parish church.
The Municipal DRRMO of Moises Padilla evacuated residents living in flood-prone areas.
Meanwhile, floodwater in Iloilo City reached gutter-level deep which slowed down motorists.
Several passengers were caught in the long wait for jeepney rides on their way to work.
It was learned that only a few public utility jeepneys took their trips on November 25 because of the weather disturbance.
Further, water level in rivers and creeks in the city rose apparently.
Personnel of the Iloilo City DRRMO have been monitoring the situation stringently.
Based on data from the Local Government Unit, at least six barangays have been flooded.
