After the flooding, residents in Bacolod City have to deal with the removal of mud, trash, and other debris from their respective residences.

In Barangay Singcang Airport, for example, floodwaters nearly reached roofs of houses. Cleaning up their residences, upon their return from the evacuation center, is apparently an arduous task.

GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas chanced upon residents who were washing their clothes and hanging these up to dry.

Residents were also trying to scavenge belongings that can still be of use.

The Local Government Unit of Bacolod City conducted flushing overnight to remove mud, trash, debris, and other litter.

The news team observed that motorists have a hard time maneuvering on yet muddy roads.

In the latest data of the Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, families affected by flood reached 2,543.

Over 40,000 families in Negros Occidental have been affected by the impact of Tropical Depression Verbena.
