Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, said there are no ghost farm-to-market road projects in Northern Mindanao.

Laurel made the statement during the turnover of P29 million worth of farm inputs and machinery to several farmer cooperatives in Bukidnon.

“Wala dito, wala pa, so far. Sana wala, sa ngayon wala pa,” Laurel said.

DA earlier discovered ghost farm-to-market road projects in Davao Occidental and Zamboanga del Norte.

Laurel said among the farm equipment turned over in Bukidnon included hauling trucks and tractors.

The agency’s top official added that these interventions will help farmers transport their harvests from upland areas to agricultural hubs where they can sell their produce at reasonable prices.

Laurel said that the continued construction of farm-to-market roads has made it easier for agricultural products to reach markets.
