A total of 11 passengers died after a UV Express van was hit by a 10-wheeler truck in Camalig, Albay afternoon on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
In a report on 24 Oras, CCTV footage showed the truck speeding through a corner in Barangay Libod and failing to brake, colliding with the van.
The impact sent both vehicles tumbling near a river, crushing the van, which was carrying 14 passengers. Rescue operations were difficult because the van was mangled severely.
Authorities said the truck was headed to Guinobatan when it reportedly experienced a mechanical problem.
The truck driver and three van passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment, and are recovering as of press time.
