A sectoral organization in General Santos City has called on the public, especially the youth, to join a peace rally on Sunday, November 30, 2025, to express their outrage over government corruption.

The group, Hinabi, said the gathering will be called “White Sunday,” a peaceful and prayerful event to be held at a university in the city.

The event will also coincide with protest actions in other parts of the country.

The group said the mass demonstration aims to allow participants to voice their sentiments on the persistent corruption in government, particularly following the recent exposé involving alleged anomalies in flood control projects.

“Ang protesta pwede siya mupaulbo og katilingban nga kausaban,” religious leader, Pastor Jonathan Ulanday, said.

The group also called for an end to political dynasties, which they claim are among the major reasons corruption persists.

Angelo Buenavides, said.

A similar protest action was held in September 2025, but the group said it failed to produce results as no one has been held accountable to date.

The fight against corruption must begin from us individual. There must be structural change, attitudinal change nga mahitabo sa atung nasud. We can do this thru educating people,” Hinabi convenor, Bro, Manuel De Leon, said.

The group said the difference in this Sunday’s peace rally is that the youth will be leading the protest.

“Time to listen to the young people natin ang pakikiisa na ito.
