A case has been filed against two persons found to have sent bomb threats to the Colegio de San Jose (CSJ) and Ramon Avanceña National High School (RANHS) in Iloilo City.

A female person is found responsible for sending a bomb threat to RANHS in the District of Arevalo, while a male person sent a bomb threat to CSJ in the District of Jaro.

According to Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) Director, Col. Kim Legada, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) 6 filed the case on November 27, 2025 for violations made to Presidential Decree 1727, or the Anti-Bomb Joke Law, and Section 10175 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

According to Legada, the two suspects were identified in coordination with RACU 6.

Meanwhile, suspects in the sending of bomb threats to the Iloilo Doctors College, Central Philippine University, and St. Therese MC College have also been identied. However, school administrators have not decided yet, as of this writing, to file charges. Administrators cited that approval from the respective school boards is needed.

At Iloilo National High School and Fort San Pedro National High School, suspects were also identified, and that the schools imposed sanctions.

ICPO has tightened its coordination with agencies such as RACU 6 to further identify other culprits in the series of bomb threats.
