A 59-year-old man was shot dead while delivering live hogs in Matalam, Cotabato afternoon on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Based on investigation, the victim was reportedly on his way to deliver three live hogs on board his motorcycle with a sidecar when he was attacked by motorcycle-riding suspects.
“Sa ating imbestigasyon, habang naglalakbay yung biktima papunta sa Brgy. Poblacion, mayroong nagpaputok mula sa dalawang unidentified suspects na nakasuot ng shawl na sakay ng color black motorcycle,” Police Regional Office-SOCCSKSARGEN (PRO-12) Spokesperson, Major Rissa Hernaez, said.
The victim did not reach the hospital alive.
Police are pursuing the suspects, as of this writing.
Investigation into the incident continues to identify the assailants and determine the motive.
